The future of poetry is immense, according to Mathew Arnold, a renowned English Critic. Poetry can determine how the invention of science will be used for the betterment of man. Poetry will explore the blankness and irrelevance in Religion which the actual religion doesn't support.

In modern age we ware observing a bitter thing that sometimes invention of science is used to destroy humanity and civilization but poetry and poets are always standing besides the human being. Where we find Sheikh Nazrul with his poems-

Poetry offers us purgation which is like fruitful medicine for our mental health. Sometimes poetry expresses suffering of mankind through thorough experience which can delight us, whether it is the story of pains, agonies, dejections and depressions. The delight and pleasure of poetry is far different from light pleasure in our normal life. The agonies and depression in poetry can catharsizes us and we get peace pleasure and delight from it. That time there was no toothbrush in our family/with the branch of Nimtree or ashes of chula/Our teeth relationship was very deep.
In Anubad we have some superstitious beliefs which have been expressed finely by the poet. In one of his poems he expresses that his mother is an acute believer of black spot on a man's body. She believed that a black spot on his hand the sign of good luck. But the poet doesn't believe the superstition because his mother's speech didn't come true. Now he has a perform many hard labors for livelihood.
In the poem of the Fight with Gondhom by Sheikh Nazrul, we can explore the love of poet for mythology and legend. Here we are introduced with the Indian myth Ganesh and his wife Nabopatrica, goddess Durga and others. Islamic elements are also within the poem such as Gondhom, the strange whistle of Esrafil etc.
Sometimes Sheikh Nazrul deals with high seriousness of life and criticism of society which are very touchy. Lipstick Mishrito Avijog is such a kind of poem. A lady from aristocratic society once notices that the lipstick of other girl is deeper, redder and finer that hers. How is it possible? The proud aristocratic lady complains about it and suggests someone to explore the industry where the lipstick of poor girl can be produced. But after the investigation it is proved that there was no lipstick on the poor girl's lips; it was only blood which was shed by an aristocratic lord's biting as the poor girl was a prostitute. At last the aristocratic lady was defeated by shame.

Still, Sheikh Nazrul is a welcoming poet in literature.
For lying once only
My favorite teacher gave me five lashes
Now I understand I need five more
Because I could not turn fully truthful
I forgot some of the letters both consonant and vowel
And this forgetfulness was the sign of weak memory
Today I feel I ought to have forgotten more letters
For, I suffer much for use of words in excess
